James Smith's 1965 442
I rebuilt the engine last winter on my own with the help of the information provided on 442.com. I also did the spindle upgrade and installed disc brakes at that time.
I purchased the car out of Tampa two years ago. The previous owner's name was also Jim Smith. It was like destiny. The engine was painted the 455 blue (much like Ford blue) and it had to go. The paint job turned into a rebuild and several dollars. The history I was told about the car was that it once belonged to the inventor of the tandem parachute harness. One never knows. <
